Wow! What a Week!

Giveaway 2Wow! What a week! I’ve had a bigger response to my Goodreads Giveaway than I expected. If you live in the US and haven’t entered yet here’s
the link so you don’t miss out. Entries close April 2nd. At last count 79 people have already entered so I’ve got this permanent grin plastered on my face. You guys are making my day! I hope the winners enjoy The Kingston Chronicles as I hope everyone who picks up a copy will. The Kingston Chronicles has been a huge part of my life for the longest time and I’m so happy to be able to share it with you.

I can’t believe how fast this year seems to be flying. I need to magic up some more hours in the day (or drink a ton more coffee) so get all my goals achieved. Even a public holiday thrown in there didn’t help as much as I hoped it would. But I did check a couple things off my to-do list and got a couple of side projects almost finished. So yay for progress!

WickedmousepadI know I already posted this on Insta but my new mouse pad arrived. I can’t believe how fast the service from Cafepress was. It got here approximately two weeks quicker than they estimated. How cute is it? It definitely helps put me in a witchy mood while I’m writing Samhain Sorcery. I’m a huge Wizard of Oz nut and, thanks to Wicked, Elphaba/The Wicked Witch of the West is my favourite character. A group of my friends and I are planning on a Wizard of Oz themed Halloween this year and I was selected to be Dorothy (I’d rather be The Wicked Witch of the West but hey that’s life). My mom’s being a real sweetie is going to make me a Dorothy dress (I’ll post a photo once the costume is done) like she did when I was 6.

No joke as a kid I was obsessed. My Dad made me a Tin-Man out of PVC Pipes, someone knitted me a Scarecrow and Witch. I had ruby slippers, the dress, a little dog toy, basket and oil can as well as a stuffed Lion. I’d play out the movie while watching it and I read my battered old copy of the original book more times that I could estimate. Suffice to say The Wizard of Oz also has a special place in my heart. Anyway for now it’s time for me to get back to work on Samhain Sorcery. I’m getting closer to the end of the first draft 😀 Sunday I’ll be posting the next installment of my Indie Publishing journey posts. In that post I’ll focus on how I launched my book and the amazing people I had supporting me on the day.

Blessed Be.
